Half Writings

About

The name “Half Writings” comes from the idea that at best we only know a portion of the truth.  So often, we Christians claim to have all the answers.  I think it’s important to keep a line of discussion open in order to question the “facts” we based our lives on. Most of my posts are pretty off-the-cuff (and off-da-hook — did I just say that out loud?). Also, I don’t do much of what they call “the research.”

This quote really says it all.

Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it. — André Gide

I imagine your view point is not that popular at the apostolic church.  Are you an Obama supporter?

You are correct.  My viewpoint isn’t very popular within most Apostolic churches, but honestly I just try to (hopefully) play devil’s advocate more than actually push the Democrat agenda.  I have pretty strong feelings pulling me in both directions, so while I do think Obama is a dynamic guy with some desperately needed communication skills, I get hung up on a couple of big issues that prevent me from being a full supporter.
